Chittorgarh. A review meeting of Public Health Officers was held on Tuesday in the Rural Development Agency Auditorium of the Zilla Parishad under the chairmanship of Public Health Engineer and Ground Water Minister Kanhaiyalal Chaudhary.
Ground water minister Kanhaiyalal Chaudhary said that the government and the Chief Minister are very sensitive about water. He instructed all public representatives and officials to go to the district to inspect the water problem. He said that in view of the upcoming heat, the government has issued necessary approvals under the vertebrae to ensure that no person is without water. According to the demand of public representatives in each assembly constituency, approval of tubewells and hand pumps has been granted. This year, the District Collector has been given one crore rupees for water transport and the arrangement of additional tankers has also been ensured.
He instructed that all the drinking water systems should be fitted before April 15 so that there is no problem of water. He said that water supply will be ensured in rural and urban areas and wherever water sources will be available, they will be used effectively. It is also planned to remove illegal connections, improve pipeline leakage and renovate traditional water sources such as wells and stepwells.
Minister Kanhaiyalal Chaudhary said that tenders have been installed for water supply from Jakham and Chambal in the district. The period of the scheme of water life mission has been extended to 2028, which will benefit the entire Rajasthan. He directed to investigate the water harness and ensure effective action. District Collector Alok Ranjan informed the PhD in detail the progress of the Public Health Engineering Department through PPT.
In the meeting, Begu MLA Suresh Dhakad, Chittorgarh MLA Chandrabhan Singh Akya, Kapasan MLA Arjun Lal Jeanagar put the drinking water problems of their respective areas before the minister. On this, the minister instructed the officials to resolve the problems quickly. He gave necessary guidelines to the officers while reviewing the progress of tube wells and hand pumps in the assembly constituencies under the budget announcements of 2024-25 on illegal connections.
The meeting was attended by the Chairman of Land Development Bank Badrilal Jat, former MLA Ashok Navlakha, Chief Executive Officer Vinay Pathak, Additional District Collector (Administration) Prabha Gautam, Superintending Engineer Public Health Engineering Department Sunit Gupta, Raghu Sharma, Public Representative and departmental officers were present.
