DC vs SRH: The aggressive style of Sunrisers Hyderabad team on the field is being seen continuously in the 17th season of IPL. In the match against Delhi Capitals, Hyderabad team scored 266 runs in 20 overs and scored 250 plus for the third time this season. In response, Delhi Capitals team could only reach the score of 199 in 20 overs, in which they lost by 67 runs. Sunrisers Hyderabad team’s opening pair of Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma ended the match for Delhi Capitals in the first 6 overs of the match, in which both of them together took the score to 125 runs. After the crushing defeat in this match, Delhi team captain Rishabh Pant expressed the biggest regret over his decision to bowl first after winning the toss.
We had a chance to stop them from 220 to 230.
Delhi Capitals team captain Rishabh Pant said after the defeat in the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad that after winning the toss, my only thought behind taking the bowling first was that dew may come during the second innings, but it did not come at all. Despite this, we had a chance to restrict Hyderabad to between 220 to 230 runs. The powerplay in this match was quite different in which they scored 125 runs and after that we were seen just chasing them throughout the match. In the second innings, the ball was stopping more after hitting the pitch, which was more than we expected, but when you are chasing 260 to 270 runs, you have to keep scoring runs at a consistent pace.
We have to see where more improvements need to be made
Rishabh Pant further said in his statement that I hope that we will come on the field with a better mentality in the next match. Jack Fraser McGurk bowled brilliantly which is what we want to do as a team. Now before the next match we have to see which areas we need to improve more. Let us tell you that Delhi Capitals now have to play their next match against Gujarat Titans on 24th April at their home ground.
