Rishikesh / Dehradun. Tender estimation committee in AIIMS Rishikesh fiercely rigged. He bought bones and skeletons for the students to use from a company that sold road-cleaning machines. This company never sold skeletons for use. For this the company was paid Rs. Even in this purchase in the year 2018, the members of the committee caused a loss of lakhs to AIIMS.
Actually, tenders were also issued to buy skeletons and bones. In this, a company named Pro Medic Device had shown itself to be a seller of road sweeping machines (compact road sweeping machines). Along with this, he also showed himself a company selling human skeletons and bones. Ignoring other companies, the tender assessment committee removed the tender in the name of Pro Medic Device Company. In the year 2018, five human skeletons, a skeleton for Rs 77.59 lakh and a set of human bones were purchased from the company for Rs 32.33 lakh for Rs 1.90 lakh. The entire purchase was done for around Rs 2.99 lakh.
When the CBI investigated this case, it was found that Pro Medic Device was never involved in this business. Nor does he have GST registration in this business. It was learned that the members of the committee themselves stole lakhs of rupees while benefiting crores of rupees to the company. By bypassing the famous company, bought the old machine at double the price.
To clear the road in AIIMS Rishikesh, bypassing a well-known company, the old machine was bought from another company instead of the new one. That too for more than double the price. Neither the name of the manufacturer nor the year of manufacture was written on this machine. CBI investigation found that this machine lasted only 124 hours and Rs 4.5 lakh was spent on its repair.
The country’s renowned company Eureka Forbes had participated in the tender to sell compact road sweeping machines. The machine that Eureka Forbes wanted to sell to AIIMS was up to the mark. He had shown its price as one crore rupees. This machine was made in Italy, while the tender assessment committee sidelined this company and removed the name of the tender Pro Medic device. The machine sold by this company to AIIMS recovered 2.05 crores. In the investigation, it was found that only 124 hours of work was taken from this machine while about four and a half lakh rupees were spent on it. The CBI has admitted that this machine was repaired and made like new and was fraudulently sold to AIIMS.
Neither registration nor GPS
This machine was to be registered with the local RTO but no registration was done for four years. Not only this, under the rules, GPS had to be installed on it as well. But AIIMS management could not even get GPS installed on it. Neither the year of manufacture nor the name of the manufacturer was written on this machine.
