New Delhi. In the money laundering case related to Shikohpur Land Deal in Haryana, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi’s husband and businessman Robert Vadra appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday. This inquiry from Vadra is being made in the case registered under the PMLA (Prevention of Money Laundering Act). Robert Vadra said that whenever I raise the voice of the people, these people will suppress me and misuse the agencies … I will always answer and keep all the questions and keep on giving. “We told the ED that we are organizing our documents, I am always ready to come here … I hope that there will be no conclusions in the case today, I am not able to speak in the country, when I speak in the country. The BJP is doing this. It is a political vengeance.
According to the ED, Vadra’s company bought a 3.5 -acre plot in Shikohpur in Gurgaon from Omkareshwar Properties in February 2008 for Rs 7.5 crore. Vadra’s company then sold this land to real estate giant DLF for Rs 58 crore. This is suspected of money laundering from income. The central agency is investigating behind this unexpected profit.
