India vs Bangladesh Rohit Sharma: A two-Test series will be played between India and Bangladesh in September. The first match between the two teams will start from September 19. Both these Test matches are part of the World Test Championship cycle. In the Test series, Indian team’s star batsman Rohit Sharma can surpass Joe Root in a special case. Rohit has been in good form for some time and bats explosively as soon as he comes to the crease. He keeps the run rate fast.

209 runs need to be scored in the test series

Rohit Sharma has scored 19234 runs in 483 matches of international cricket. If he scores 209 runs in the Test series against Bangladesh, he will surpass Joe Root in terms of scoring the most runs in international cricket. Root has scored a total of 19442 runs in international cricket so far.

Chance to overtake Rahul Dravid as well

Both Rohit Sharma and Rahul Dravid have scored 48 centuries each in international cricket. As soon as he scores a century in the Test series against Bangladesh, he will surpass Rahul Dravid. Rohit is the fourth highest run scorer for India in international cricket. Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli and Rahul Dravid have scored more runs than him for India.

Sachin Tendulkar – 100 Centuries

Virat Kohli – 80 centuries
Rohit Sharma – 48 centuries
Rahul Dravid – 48 centuries
Virender Sehwag- 38 centuries
Sourav Ganguly – 38 centuries

1st Test – September 19 to September 23, 9.30 am, Chennai

2nd Test – September 27 to October 1, 9.30 am, Kanpur
