The sixth match of the 15th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) was played between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. The match was won by RCB and the team led by Faf du Plessis opened the account of victory in the tournament. Despite scoring more than 200 runs in their first match, RCB had to face a crushing defeat at the hands of Punjab Kings. However, against Kolkata, RCB won by 3 wickets. RCB needed 17 runs in the last two overs to win, but Venkatesh Iyer spent 10 runs in the 19th over. At the same time, Dinesh Karthik finished the match by hitting a six on the first ball of Andre Russell’s last over and a four on the second ball.
