New Delhi. So far 150 people have died due to landslides caused by heavy rains in Wayanad, Kerala. Relief and rescue operations are underway and more bodies may be recovered from the debris. Meanwhile, after the terrible disaster, along with the army, government, administration, NDRF and SDRF teams, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) workers are also engaged in relief and rescue. RSS workers are doing selfless service from removing debris to cremating the bodies. Not only this, the volunteers of the Sangh have also arranged food for the disaster victims. At the same time, former Congress MP from Wayanad Rahul Gandhi and Congress candidate in the upcoming by-election Priyanka Gandhi are being targeted by people on social media.

Social media users are sharing photos of RSS volunteers serving at the Wayanad disaster site. A user named Harshvardhan Tripathi wrote on his social media account, “Sanghis are engaged in relief work in Wayanad without caring about their lives.” Currently, former Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, who aspires to become an MP in the future, have told on social media that due to bad weather their plane was not in a position to land, so both are in Delhi. RSS does not want to contest elections, it wants to unite the society, stay with the society, in every happiness and sorrow. RSS volunteers are doing the same.

Another user wrote, after the Choorlamala landslide in Wayanad, Kerala, wherever Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi should be, RSS and Seva Bharti volunteers are actively engaged in service. A user named Madhu Sharma wrote that RSS volunteers have become angels in the Kerala tragedy. They are ready to serve the people day and night.
