Many new rules are being implemented from August 1. These rules are being made from digital payment apps to Google Maps. The world’s leading tech company Google is going to make this change for its map for the first time. Apart from this, the company has also decided to make a big cut in its service charges in India. Google is going to make this cut in the charges taken for its services from August 1.

New rules of Google Maps

New rules will come into effect for Google Maps from August 1. Google has decided to make this big change in its app only in the Indian market. The company has also reduced its service charge by up to 70 percent, so that more and more service providers can use Google Maps. However, this new rule for Google Maps is not going to make any difference to the common users because the company does not charge any fee from the users for using Google Maps.

This rule change for Google Maps will have a direct impact on those business users who use Google’s navigation service. For the first time, Google has decided to charge business users in rupees for its services. Earlier Google used to charge in dollars for its services. Apart from this, a big reduction has been made in the charges.

Navigation charge reduced

Google charges companies 4 to 5 dollars per month for its navigation service. This charge will be reduced from August 1. Also, companies using the service will be accepted to pay in Indian rupees. Under the new rule, Google Maps navigation service will now be charged from $0.38 i.e. Rs 31 to $1.50 i.e. Rs 125. Earlier this charge was between Rs 300 to Rs 400.

These days Google is facing a tough challenge from other rival navigation service providers. A few days ago, Ola also launched its navigation service, for which the company does not charge anything. Apart from this, local companies like Map My India are also giving competition to Google in the navigation sector.
