India’s criticism of Russia for the attack on Ukraine has again raised the demand. Ro Khanna, an influential Indian-origin parliamentarian, said India should condemn Russian President Vladimir Putin for the attack on Ukraine. He also said that New Delhi should not take oil from Russia or China.
Khanna, who represented Silicon Valley in the US House of Representatives, said it was time for India to choose its side. He said, “I have been really clear on India and I think India should condemn Putin. Also India should not take oil from Russia or China. Let us unite the world to isolate Putin. should do.”
‘Time for India to buy arms from America’
Khanna said, “America was with India when China invaded it. Putin did not cooperate. It is time for him to buy arms from the United States, not Russia. We have to see that we do it.” How can we facilitate and make it easy. We finally need India as an ally to control China.”
Talks with Russia will be restored: Ukraine
The Ukrainian delegation is in talks with Russia to end the month-long war. One of its members said the two sides have decided to meet in person in Turkey on Monday. David Arakhmia, leader of President Volodymyr Zelensky’s Servants of the People party in the Ukrainian parliament, said on Facebook that a discussion via video conferencing had reached an agreement to hold the talks in person.
