Singhdev urged to make arrangements for the education of the returned students in the country itself.
Medical students studying in Ukraine have had to leave their studies midway due to the war and return home. Most of the children who went there for education were pursuing medical studies. After returning to India, concerned about his studies, State Health Minister TS Singhdev has written a letter to Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya. Singhdev has urged to make arrangements for his education in the country itself.
Health Minister Singhdev wrote that the medical students returning to India due to the Ukraine crisis were studying in different parts. Everyone has different situations, but due to this dire situation, the future of all those students has been questioned. In this matter, he has written keeping his personal view that students going to Ukraine for medical education will be happy if they are accommodated in all the medical colleges of the country according to a prescribed procedure.
At present, there is a provision of screening test for the registration of Indian students who have completed their medical education from Ukraine and other countries. Similarly, considering this as a special case, for admission to the medical colleges of the affected students, after consultation, such a method should be adopted in which additional seats are allotted in the medical colleges of the country after evaluation by screening test considering the study period of all the students as the basis. They should be adjusted so that the future of the affected students can be secured and assured.
