Ukrainian Minister Anton Gerashchenko has claimed that Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu had a heated argument with Russian President Vladimir Putin, after which Shoigu suffered a heart attack. Gerashchenko says Putin blamed him for the “failure” of his special military operation in Ukraine.
Anton Gerashchenko claims that this is the reason why the Defense Minister had not been seen in public since March 11. On 24 March the Russian Defense Minister was again seen on television. However, it is not known whether the footage was new or old. It is known that Sergei Shoigu is considered to be the second mastermind of the Ukraine war.
Russian Defense Minister suddenly ‘disappeared’ in the middle of the war
The sudden disappearance of the Russian Defense Minister triggers rumors that major Ukrainian cities such as Kharkiv and/or Kyiv have been punished for not yet captured. A Guardian report claimed that the issue was raised at a daily press meet organized by the Kremlin. During this, journalists had asked about the whereabouts of the Defense Minister.
Kremlin said – busy preparing for war
According to the report, a Kremlin spokesman said that it is understandable that the Defense Minister is busy with special military operations and this is not the right time for media activities. Shortly thereafter the defense minister was seen on television in a clip from a Security Council teleconference with Putin, saying the minister had reported progress on the special military operation.
