Wayanad Landslide: The landslide in Wayanad, Kerala has caused massive destruction. So far 167 people have died due to this natural disaster, while more than 200 people have been injured. Relief and rescue work is going on by the army. Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent a condolence message to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Draupadi Murmu regarding the landslide in Wayanad. He has also wished for the speedy recovery of the affected people.

Putin expressed grief

The Russian Embassy in India shared a post on Twitter, writing, “Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent a message of condolence to the President of India Draupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the tragic consequences of the landslide in Kerala. Putin expressed his condolences to India and the people affected by the landslide and wished them a speedy recovery.”

China and Maldives expressed condolences

China and Maldives have also expressed their condolences over the landslide in Wayanad. Maldives President Mohammad Muizzu has expressed grief, calling the landslide in Wayanad an unimaginable tragedy. He has expressed deep condolences over the loss of life and property due to the landslide. Muizzu said that this is an ‘unimaginable tragedy’. Before Muizzu, China had also expressed deep condolences over the Wayanad landslide.

Iran also expressed grief

The Iranian Embassy in New Delhi has also expressed grief over the Wayanad accident by posting on the social media site. The Iranian Embassy wrote, ‘We express our deepest condolences to the Government of India and the people of Kerala who have suffered in the Wayanad landslide. Our condolences are with the families who have lost their loved ones in this tragic disaster.’
