SA20 League auction in October, legends like Dinesh Karthik, Rashid Khan will participate, when will the tournament start?

Durban. The players’ auction for the third season of the SA20 League will be held on October 1 in which 13 players will be selected. League commissioner Graeme Smith gave this information. The next season of SA20 will be played between 9 January and 8 February 2025. After the pre-season retention and early signing window ends, teams will get a chance to select 13 more players.

India’s retired wicketkeeper batsman Dinesh Karthik has recently joined Paarl Royals, who will be the first Indian to play in this league. Apart from this, every team will have to select a new player for the third season, while three teams have to announce the wild card before 30 December. Apart from Karthik, international stars like Ben Stokes, Kane Williamson, Joe Root, Trent Boult, Johnny Bairstow, Devon Conway, Jack Crowley, Rashid Khan and Rahmanullah Gurbaz will also participate in it.

Smith said in a release, “With the arrival of international veterans along with local stars Aiden Markram, Kagiso Rabada and Heinrich Klaasen, this is going to be a great season. We are proud of all the domestic cricketers retained by the teams.”
