New Delhi. BCCI has received more than 3000 applications for the coach of the Indian cricket team. The applicants include names like Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni, Narendra Modi, Amit Shah. According to a report, people applying using the names of famous people like Modi-Sachin-Dhoni are fake users. The last date to apply for the new coach of the Indian men’s cricket team was 27 May.
The tenure of the current coach of the Indian team, Rahul Dravid, is only till the T20 World Cup. The BCCI is looking for a new coach to replace Dravid. Under this, applications were invited. For this, the board had given a link to a Google form on its website, through which applications were to be made.

According to sources, till May 27, more than 3000 applications were received for the post of Indian coach. Many of these applications are just for names. Applications made using the names of people like Sachin Tendulkar, Narendra Modi are being counted in this category.
On Indian Express’ question related to these applications, a BCCI official said, “Last time also BCCI had received such applications. The reason for this is that the board had sought applications through Google Form. The advantage of this is that it is easy to sort out the applications received through Google Form.” However, some people unnecessarily increase the difficulty by applying under the wrong name.

However, the board official did not say which players have seriously applied to become the coach. Gautam Gambhir’s name is considered to be at the forefront in this race. But Gambhir has also not given any reaction in this regard.
