New Delhi. Sarfaraz Khan’s younger brother Musheer Khan displayed his extraordinary talent by scoring a brilliant century in the final match of the 2024 Ranji Trophy. During the third day’s play against Vidarbha, Musheer Khan scored a century and broke a 29-year-old record previously held by cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar. Following the footsteps of his elder brother Sarfaraz, Musheer Khan, at the age of 19, Left a significant mark by performing brilliantly at his age. Musheer Khan broke Sachin Tendulkar’s 29 year old record
In the Ranji Trophy final between Mumbai and Vidarbha, Mumbai team’s youngest batsman Musheer Khan registered his name in history by scoring a sensational century. Musheer faced 255 balls and scored a stormy century and broke the earlier record of great cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. Sarfaraz Khan’s brother Musheer had achieved this feat at the age of 19 years and 14 days, while Tendulkar had achieved this feat at the age of 21 years and 10 months. Tendulkar scored a double century against Punjab during the 1993–94 Ranji season.
Mumbai team close to victory in Ranji Trophy final
Mumbai team has come close to victory in the final match of Ranji Trophy against Vidarbha. Mumbai took a lead of 119 runs in the first innings and Mumbai’s batsmen performed brilliantly in the second innings. Despite the bad start, Musheer Khan and captain Ajinkya were successful in handling the team’s innings. Captain Rahane contributed 73 runs before being dismissed, while Shreyas Iyer scored 95 runs facing 111 balls. Currently Musheer Khan is batting on 129 runs. Mumbai has taken a lead of 451 runs.
