A fatal turn took place in her life after the only son of a woman was lost in Dahiwadi village of Satara district of Maharashtra. In 1997, the son of the female Dwarakabai Vishnu Kuchekar went missing. For years she kept looking for a son, and in the same hope she became old that one day her son would return. 27 years later, one day it happened that the woman was very happy to hear, but her happiness could not last long.
A fraudster disguised as a monk: A person disguised as a monk came to Dwarakabai’s house and claimed that he was his lost son. The elderly woman recognized her and hugged her happily. The woman came into this belief and named her property, including ration cards, Aadhaar cards, and other documents, the person.
Fraud disclosure: In the investigation, it was found that this man was none other than Eknath Raghunath Shinde, who was a resident of Jamner Tehsil in Jalgaon district. She had earlier approached the woman’s house on the pretext of begging and took information about her property and son from the woman. Then he took advantage of the woman’s faith and captured the whole property by calling himself his lost son.
Vigilance and police action: This year when Shinde came back and captured the woman’s property, the villagers suspected her. The villagers informed the police, after which the investigation was started. Police discovered that he was not really the son of the woman, but a thug who cheated the elderly woman and grabbed her property.
Police arrested the accused: The police immediately took action and arrested the accused Eknath Shinde and registered a case of cheating and forgery against him. The police is investigating further in this case, and it is expected that the accused will be punished soon.
