Terming ‘The Kashmir Files’ a fictional work, Jammu and Kashmir People’s Conference president Sajjad Lone said the makers of the film will drown the country in hatred. He also claimed that Kashmiri Muslims have suffered 50 times more damage than Pandits.
He said, “There is no doubt about the injustice done to Kashmiri Pandits. Kashmiri Muslims have suffered 50 times more persecution than Pandits. You cannot document the pain of just one community. We are all in this together.” I have lost my own father.” Let us tell you that Sajjad Lone is a former minister of Jammu and Kashmir.
He further said that in the 1990s, Kashmiri Muslims were as helpless as Pandits.
He said, “Everyone here has faced harassment, although they (filmmakers) have exaggerated. They do not know that Pandits are still living with us. Have they thought of them? They are our brothers. And we love them but in the 1990s we were as helpless as Kashmiri Pandits.”
He said, “I appeal to the Prime Minister to make him (Vivek Agnihotri) a Rajya Sabha MP. Now there is a new trend that people like Vivek Agnihotri and Anupam Kher are desperate to go to the Rajya Sabha. They should be sent to the Rajya Sabha, otherwise they will.” Will drown this country in hatred.”
