Samastipur . One of the important schemes of PM Modi, the youth are benefiting from the ‘Pradhan Mantri Internship Scheme. Due to this, now this scheme has also been started in Samastipur, Bihar. Under this scheme, the District Planning Department, along with various prestigious companies, is providing golden opportunities to the youth.
Through the ‘Pradhan Mantri Internship Scheme’, youth will get an opportunity to get business experiences, which will help them get better jobs. Many other major companies including Sudha Dairy of Samastipur are also participating in the scheme and are inviting qualified youth for internship.
Sumit Kumar Singh, District Planning Officer of Samastipur, told in a conversation with that the ‘Prime Minister’s Internship Scheme’ is being run by the Government of India, in which the last date to apply is 31 March. Under this scheme, internships will be made to students between 21 and 24 years old, under which five thousand rupees will be received per month. The youth will get the benefit of this scheme for 12 months. Apart from this, a casual allowance of 6 thousand rupees will also be provided to the youth for travel expenses at the internship site.
He said, “Youths who want to take advantage of this scheme can apply through online application process. Each intern will be given life insurance by the government under the Prime Minister Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, which will be paid by the government.”
According to District Planning Officer Sumit Kumar Singh, in the first phase here, the posts of internships have been provided by various companies for 85 youth. In future, more youth will be provided interanation opportunities as per the demand of companies. I hope more applications will be received by 31 March, under which they will be given an internship.
The main objective of this scheme is to provide the youth important skills and business experiences in industry, business, and service sectors, so that they can get better employment opportunities in the future. Under this scheme, a target has been set to provide internship opportunities to 1 crore youth in the next 5 years.
