All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) leader and former MP Imtiaz Jalil reached the Waqf office in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar on Thursday. Here he reprimanded the officers. The case was to build a Waqf office in the open field. AIMIM is opposing this. MIM says that there is already a huge shortage of open places in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar. In such a situation, it is wrong to build a Waqf office on Waqf’s land.
Excavations have started to create a Waqf Board office in a special ground in the middle of the city. As soon as the information about this construction work was received, former MP Imtiaz Jalil along with his workers reached the special ground. He said that there are already very few open spaces left in the city. In such a situation, a conspiracy is being hatched to destroy this ground by creating a Waqf Board office.
We will not allow the Waqf Board office to be built on this land.
He said that we will not allow the Waqf Board office to be built on private land under any circumstances. Earlier, AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi on Wednesday joined the protests called by the All India Muslim Personal Law Board against the Waqf (Amendment) Act. After this, he said that this movement has been successful and he thanked those who participated in it. Owaisi said that people should keep lights closed for 15 minutes from 9 pm to 9:15 pm.
This law violates the constitution.
Owaisi said that the purpose of this protest is to convey a message to the government led by Prime Minister Modi that this law will only eliminate the Waqf Board. He alleged that this law is unconstitutional and violates the Constitution. AIMPLB will also organize programs like human chain and round table conference after two weeks. This movement will continue until the government withdraws it.
