In reply, despite Younis Khan’s 147 runs and Mohammad Yusuf’s 104 runs, Pakistan’s innings was reduced to 393 runs. On the basis of first innings, India had a lead of 14 runs. With the help of Dravid’s 135 runs and Dinesh Karthik’s 93 runs, the Indian team declared the second innings at 407 runs for 9 wickets and gave Pakistan a target of 422 runs. In reply, Inzamam’s team surrendered before the bowling of Anil Kumble (7/63) and the entire team collapsed for 226 runs.
