Samsung Galaxy S26 (Representative)
Samsung can launch its next flagship smartphone with the world’s fastest processor. The South Korean company has made preparations for this. According to the reports coming out, Samsung has made this mobile processor and it is much faster than TSMC’s fastest chip. Samsung can launch this 2nm chip soon. For this, the company has also received an order from the Japanese company Preferred Networks (PFN).
What is Tethys Project?
The South Korean company has named its 2nm chip project Tethys. Reports are coming that this processor will be launched as Exynos 2600, which can be used in the Samsung Galaxy S26 series. At present, Samsung is facing tough competition from Qualcomm and MediaTek. Chinese smartphone brands are using processors of both these chip makers. MediaTek Dimensity series and Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen series chips are mostly used in flagship smartphones, which are based on 4nm technology.
On the other hand, TSMC has produced 3nm chips, which can be used in Apple’s next iPhone 16 or iPhone 17 series. This 2nm chip of Samsung can be launched in 2025, which will be used in the Samsung Galaxy S26 series. The company had earlier confirmed that it could start mass production of 2nm chips soon.
Last year, in the Samsung Galaxy S23 Series, the company used Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which works on TSMC’s 4nm processing technology. In the Galaxy S24 series launched this year, the company has used Exynos 2400. However, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor has been used in the US variant.
Exynos 2500 will be an improvement
Samsung’s next flagship series will use Exynos 2500, which will be better than its previous model. Its performance has been improved. Currently, no smartphone has been launched on 2nm processing technology. In such a situation, Samsung Galaxy S26 series can be the fastest smartphone in the world.
