Thane. Uddhav Thackeray is already in trouble, now his close MP Sanjay Raut is also in trouble for his rhetoric. Police has registered a case against Sanjay Raut in Thane, Maharashtra. Sanjay Raut had alleged recently that Shrikant Shinde, son of Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde, had given him a contract to kill him. On this statement of Raut, a defamation case has been filed against him. Thane’s former mayor Meenakshi Shinde has filed a case against Sanjay Raut at Kapurbawdi police station. In this case, either Sanjay Raut will have to give evidence in the court regarding his allegations, or he will have to apologize to Shrikant Shinde. Sanjay Raut has already been in jail for a long time in the Patra Chawl scam case.
According to the Thane police, Meenakshi Shinde has given a complaint against Sanjay Raut that he has made baseless allegations against public representative Shrikant Shinde. Shrikant Shinde is the MP from Kalyan Lok Sabha seat. Earlier, Shinde faction MLA Sanjay Shirsat had targeted Sanjay Raut’s allegations. He termed it as a cheap ploy to gain sympathy. Shirsat had said that the allegations made by Sanjay Raut on Shrikant Shinde should be investigated. He had also said that Sanjay Raut makes many such allegations which do not have any facts.
Sanjay Raut had written a letter to the police regarding the allegation of giving supari to CM Eknath Shinde’s son. Sanjay Raut had written in his letter that Shrikant Shinde had given betel nut to a gangster named Raja Thakur and asked him to kill him. Raja Thakur has been in jail earlier also. He had got posters put up in Thane in support of Eknath Shinde. There is a discussion about Raja Thakur that he runs his gang from Thane.
