New Delhi. After being together for more than two decades, Shiv Sena left the BJP during the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections. It is said that there was no consensus between the two parties regarding the CM’s chair. Since then Shiv Sena has not left any chance to target the BJP. Now Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut says that BJP is a divisive party, we realized it late. Sanjay Raut said that Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar had told 25 years ago that BJP is divisive, but we realized it only two years ago. Let us tell you that this is not the first time that Sanjay Raut has attacked BJP. Even before this, he has surrounded the BJP on many occasions.
Said this thing in a program
Sanjay Raut made this statement at the release of a book ‘Nemkechi Boleane’ based on the speeches given by Sharad Pawar in political rallies. Shiv Sena MP Raut said that about 25 years ago Sharad Pawar had said that BJP does not want unity in the country, its method is divisive. We did not understand this then, but two years ago we realized it. Raut said that the name of the book is so good that we should gift it to PM Modi. They need to know a few things from this.
Both the parties had separated in 2019
Let us tell you that Shiv Sena and Bharatiya Janata Party were together in Maharashtra for more than two decades. At the same time, in the assembly elections held in the year 2019, Shiv Sena left the BJP. Along with this, Shiv Sena has formed the government in the state with the support of NCP and Congress. Since then both the parties leave no chance to target each other.

Political experts say that the desire for the chair has created distance between the two parties. In fact, both the parties were preparing to enter the fray together in the 2019 assembly elections, but things were not getting clear between them regarding the post of CM. Both the parties wanted their candidate to be the CM. Although later the talk of making the leaders of both the parties as CM for two and a half years also came to the fore, but in the end both the parties parted their ways.
