Manoj Sinha mentions loan in 2019 election affidavit
Sinha was sent to Jammu and Kashmir in August 2020. His 2019 election affidavit mentions five ‘unsecured’ loans totaling Rs 57 lakh. Sherpuria’s debt is the highest. Apart from him, loans of Rs 3 lakh, 6 lakh, 8 lakh and 15 lakh were shown from four other people. Sinha remained very active in the area despite losing the 2019 elections. He was also elected MP from Ghazipur in 1996 and 1999. However, when he was made the LG of J&K, he had to distance himself from party activities.
BJP distanced itself from Sanjay ‘Sherpuria’
When the newspaper spoke to Ghazipur BJP District President Bhanu Pratap Singh, he avoided Sanjay Rai ‘Sherpuria’. He said, ‘Rai is neither a member of the BJP nor an office bearer. He used to come to Ghazipur and meet us but has nothing to do with the party. However, the newspaper writes (on the condition of confidentiality) quoting a prominent BJP leader of Varanasi that ‘Rai was close to senior BJP leaders. Party leaders used to meet him whenever he used to come here.
Who is Sanjay Rai ‘Sherpuria’?
According to official sources of the UP STF, there were complaints that large-scale fraud was being perpetrated by showing closeness to central and state government ministers, including the PM, and senior BJP leaders. After which UP STF has been engaged in the investigation of this forgery. Accused Sanjay Sherpuria had formed several companies on the basis of fake documents. For whom loans were also taken from many banks and later became defaulter.
After the arrest of Sanjay Sherpuria, now SBI has also issued a public notice in this regard. He has also formed an organization named Youth Rural Entrepreneur Foundation. He has appointed dummy directors in this organization and is not holding any position himself. Although on social media, he shows himself to be the doer of this organization. In the month of January this year, Rs 6 crore has been deposited in the account of this organization twice. Apart from this, money has been deposited in this account through different means.
