Coach advised me not to take pressure: Sarabjot

Talking to India Today, Sarabjot said that when everyone wakes up in the morning, they see the podium. But I had to stay in the present. It was nice to shoot with Manu. We have been shooting together since 2019. Our experience has been good. As soon as we plan the shot, we also feel the pressure because there is a lot of crowd.

The coach said that just focus on the work. Because if you fire now, it will not come again. We got the benefit of his words. He told us not to take pressure. I would like to shoot with Manu in the future as well. It will be according to the ranking. He said that it was in my mind that I have to forget the previous shot and focus on the next shot.

The journey was not easy for Sarabjot

Sarabjot Singh’s journey to the Olympics was not easy. He had to face disappointment many times, but he did not give up and kept working hard. He was eliminated in the men’s 10m air pistol individual event three days before winning the bronze medal, finishing ninth. But Sarabjot did not miss his next chance in Paris. Manu and Sarabjot qualified for the bronze medal match by finishing third in the 10m air pistol mixed qualification round with a score of 580.
