Sawai Madhopur. In Sawai Madhopur, ACB, while taking a major action, has arrested the founding officer Bhupendra Vihari Sharma posted in the office of the Chief Medical and Health Officer, taking a bribe of Rs 25,000. The accused officer sought a bribe from the complainant in lieu of ending the ongoing departmental proceedings against him.
After receiving the complaint, the ACB first confirmed the bribe demand and then took this action on Friday by laying a trap. The accused called the complainant to his office and as soon as he took a bribe of 25 thousand rupees, the ACB team raided the spot and caught the officer. The entire amount of bribe has also been recovered from the accused.
ACB DG Dr. Ravi Prakash Meherda said that on receiving the complaint, Gyan Singh Chaudhary, ASP of Sawai Madhopur unit, took this trap under the supervision of ACB Deputy Inspector General of Bharatpur Range Rajesh Singh.
Further investigation has been started by registering a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act. The accused officer is being questioned and other facts are also expected to be revealed soon.
