Supreme Court will hear the matter
There is a hearing on the case of banning worship in the basement of Vyas ji in the Gyanvapi complex of Varanasi. The Supreme Court will hear this case on July 23. The Anjuman Intezamia Committee of the Muslim side has filed a petition in the Supreme Court against the decision of the Allahabad High Court.
The High Court refused to stay
In the last hearing, the Supreme Court had refused to stay the decision of the Allahabad High Court. The court had issued a notice to the trial court petitioner Shailendra Vyas on the petition of the mosque side against worship in the basement of Vyas ji.
The district court granted permission
The District Court of Varanasi had given permission to perform worship in the basement of Vyasji. Against this, the Anjuman Intezamia Masajid Committee had filed a petition in the High Court. However, the High Court refused to stay the decision of the District Court.
That’s why the committee approached the Supreme Court
After this, the Anjuman Intezamia Committee has approached the Supreme Court. Anjuman Intezamia Committee has demanded a ban on worship in the basement of Vyas ji. The Supreme Court is now going to hear this case on July 13.
Hearing in this case was also held in April 2024
Let us tell you that in April 2024, the Supreme Court refused to stay the decision of the Allahabad High Court in this case. After this, worship continues in the basement of Vyas ji in Gyanvapi. The District Court of Varanasi had granted permission to worship in the basement of Vyas ji in Gyanvapi. Anjuman Intezamia Masajid Committee had filed a petition in the High Court against this. However, the High Court refused to stay the decision of the district court. The Supreme Court is to hear this matter again.
