The case of the horrific incident with the trainee doctor in Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College has not yet cooled down that a big scandal has come to light in Delhi Government’s Indira Gandhi Hospital in Dwarka. On the morning of 11 August, such an incident happened here that this hospital narrowly escaped from becoming Kolkata’s RG College. However, the female nurse staff who were taking care of the patients in the ward on the day of the incident are still in shock of this incident.
It was told that like other days in IGI hospital, patients were admitted in the male ward and female ward facing each other. During this time, a 19-year-old boy also came to get admitted in the medicine male ward. He was complaining of fever. His father was with him as an attendant. At around 4 am on August 11, when the nursing staff on duty in the hospital reached the corridor outside the ward to give injection to the patient, there was less light there, then she saw that the 19-year-old patient was roaming completely naked near the female corridor and was masturbating.

Seeing the patient in this condition, the nursing staff panicked badly and screamed. Hearing her scream, the senior resident and junior resident doctor present nearby ran towards the corridor. The nurse was so scared that she ran and hid in her nursing uniform and did not come out for a long time.
The doctors somehow caught the patient roaming around completely naked and called the hospital security and informed the admin. After about 20 minutes, the security staff came and took the patient inside the ward. They woke up his father and told him the whole incident. During this time, other patients and their attendants also came there.
The doctor on duty at IGI Hospital said that the patient and his father fled from the hospital a few hours after this incident. While the patient’s file is still deposited in the hospital. However, after this incident, not only the female staff but also the male doctors have become nervous. Such incidents also pose a threat to the safety of female patients admitted in the female ward located in front of the male ward.
There are many problems in the hospital
A doctor associated with RDA said that there is a network issue in Indira Gandhi Hospital, so one cannot approach anyone quickly. At night, doctors are available only in the emergency. If someone needs them, doctors come from the emergency only. However, the path from the ground floor to the upper floors of the hospital is also deserted. The lift is in a corner. Most parts of the hospital remain dark at night. There is no trace of cameras and there is no guard there either.
Female patients are also afraid
A few days ago, a female patient who was going upstairs with her child returned at night. She had said that send someone with her, it is dark to go upstairs in the hospital, she is scared. This is such a hospital where even doctors are scared to do duty at night. Some strange incidents have happened here earlier also.
