New Delhi: Tight security arrangements have been made on the India-Nepal international border and India-Pakistan border in view of the 15th August Independence Day. Police and Sashastra Seema Bal jawans are in full alert mode on the India-Nepal border in Maharajganj district. All people entering India from Nepal are being thoroughly checked. Security forces have also intensified surveillance through drone cameras.
Patrolling intensified in border areas
According to Superintendent of Police Somendra Meena, in view of August 15, joint patrolling is being done in the border areas and hotels, inns, and dhabas are also being checked regularly. Apart from this, the Local Intelligence Unit (LIU) has also been activated and CCTV cameras have been installed on India-Nepal footpaths to keep an eye on illegal movement. Necessary guidelines have also been given to all responsible policemen in the meetings of Peace Committee and Village Security Committee. Sensitive areas will be monitored with drone cameras on Independence Day.
Security forces are also on alert on the Indo-Pak border
At the same time, security forces have been put on alert on the India-Pakistan border before 15 August. Terrorists are ready to infiltrate into Indian territory from some launching pads in Pakistan. To deal with this threat, Indian Army soldiers are fully deployed on the border with modern equipment. The soldiers are fully alert to counter any activity from across the border.
Surveillance increased in Rajouri and Poonch
For the last several days, the vigilance of the soldiers on the border in Rajouri and Poonch areas has been increased. These security measures are to ensure that there is no infiltration or disturbance on the occasion of Independence Day.
