New Delhi. Selection of Indian cricket team is always a topic of discussion. India’s women’s team has been announced for the upcoming series. The selectors have announced the 16-member team. Spinner Asha Shobhana and batsman Sajna Sajeevan have been included in the Indian women’s cricket team for the five-match T20 series against Bangladesh starting on April 28.
Leg spinner Shobhana played an important role in Royal Challengers Bangalore’s title win in the Women’s Premier League, taking 12 wickets in ten matches. Sajeevan had scored 74 runs for Mumbai Indians in the semi-finals. The captain of the team will be Harmanpreet Kaur. This series is also important because the T20 World Cup is also to be held in Bangladesh later this year. All five matches will be played in Sylhet. RCB’s Shreyanka Patil is also in the team while D Hemalatha has made a comeback after October 2022.
Talking about the schedule of the series to be played against Bangladesh, all the matches of this series will be played in Mirpur, Bangladesh. The first match will be played on 28th April while the second match is to be played on 30th April. The next three T20 matches will be played on May 2, May 6 and May 9.
