Hansaben Soni, Rane’s daughter-in-law and her family’s daughter-in-law, 22-year-old Riddhi Peethadiya, were taking selfies while standing on the banks of the river at Bhedaghat in Jabalpur at 3:30 pm on Friday. Suddenly, both of them were swept away in the midst of a strong current of water. Both died due to drowning in water. Hearing the news of the death of both, the whole family is in mourning.
According to detailed information, 53-year-old Hansaben and her son had gone to Jabalpur from Mumbai with their future daughter-in-law Riddhi. After this, all together went to visit Bhedaghat. At around 3:30 in the afternoon, when Hansaben along with Riddhi was taking a selfie standing on a khadak, then a strong flow of water came from behind, in which both of them lost their balance and they fell into the water of Narmada river. Talking about the incident, an officer of Tilwara police station in Jabalpur while talking to the media said that the body of Hansaben was immediately found by the local swimmers, although the body of his future daughter-in-law was washed away. Because of which he could not find her. However, on the next morning, Riddhi’s body was found near Panchvati Ghat.
Riddhi’s father and members of the Soni family have reached Jabalpur to retrieve the bodies of Hansaben and Riddhi. According to Atul Thakkar, close to the Soni family, the bodies of both will be brought in an ambulance to Ghatkopar. where he will be cremated.
