Kanpur . A senior woman IAS officer has filed a complaint with the Kotwali police station in Kanpur alleging harassment and threats against her ex-husband. The Lucknow resident has accused her ex-husband Shashank Gupta and his bouncers of intimidation.
She said in her complaint that she lives with her family at Celebrity Greens Sushant Golf City in Lucknow and had gone to Kanpur to meet District Magistrate Neha Sharma on March 5.
Meanwhile, Shashank Gupta went to his residence in Lucknow with armed bouncers and threatened the family members if they were not found at home.
After this he went to his sister’s house in Lucknow and threatened her too. They said Gupta then called her on WhatsApp from an unknown number and threatened her, saying that he had tracked her location and knew he was in Kanpur.
He also said that he should ask his district magistrate friend to try to save him.
The officer married Shashank Gupta, a resident of Gomti Nagar, Lucknow, in June 2003 and their daughter was born in 2013.
She alleged that Gupta used to harass her mentally and physically after marriage after which he got divorced from her in July 2020, but he is continuously harassing and threatening her.
Police officers are taking the help of surveillance to trace Gupta and his bouncers.
Kotwali police station in-charge Ajay Kumar Singh said that the matter is being investigated.
