Shares of Bajaj Finserv, Bajaj Finance and Infosys gained the most
Mumbai, May 26 (IANS). The BSE Sensex closed above 51,000 points in the Indian stock market on Wednesday. Good buying was seen in IT stocks in the day’s trading. However, selling in metal stocks limited the gains. The Sensex closed at 51,017.52 with a gain of 379.99 points or 0.75 per cent from its previous 50,637.53 points.
It opened at 50,899.58 and touched an intra-day high of 51,072.61 and a low of 50,620.45. The Nifty 50 of the National Stock Exchange closed at 15,301.45 points or 93.00 points or 0.61 per cent from its previous close. Top gainers on the Sensex were Bajaj Finserv, Bajaj Finance and Infosys, while the top losers were Power Grid, Tata Steel and NTPC.
