Indian The stock market closed with a gain on Tuesday. Both Nifty and Sensex closed at record highs. The Bombay Stock Exchange’s index Sensex closed at 77,301 today with a gain of 0.40 percent i.e. 308 points. At the time of market closing, out of 30 Sensex stocks, 22 stocks were in the green mark and 8 were in the red mark. Whereas, the National Stock Exchange’s index Nifty closed at 23,557 today with a gain of 0.39 percent i.e. 92.30 points. At the time of market closing, out of 50 Nifty stocks, 34 were in the green mark and 16 were in the red mark.
These stocks rose
Among the Nifty pack stocks, the biggest gainers on Tuesday were Shriram Finance (3.22%), Power Grid (3.13%), Wipro (2.94%), ICICI Bank (1.82%) and Titan (1.58%). On the other hand, the biggest losers were Maruti (2.14%), Dr Reddy (1.60%), UltraTech Cement (1.09%), Tata Steel (1.04%) and Hindalco (0.82%).
Real estate stocks surge
Talking about sectoral indices, the highest rise was seen in Nifty Realty on Tuesday. It registered a gain of 1.88 percent today. Apart from this, Nifty Consumer Durables rose by 1.59 percent, Nifty Private Bank by 1.10 percent, Nifty PSU Bank by 0.25 percent, Nifty Financial Services by 0.77 percent and Nifty Bank by 0.88 percent. Apart from this, Nifty Auto fell by 0.03 percent, Nifty FMCG by 0.10 percent, Nifty Media by 0.64 percent, Nifty Metal by 0.22 percent, Nifty Pharma by 0.35 percent, Nifty Healthcare Index fell by 0.50 percent, Nifty Oil and Gas by 0.05 percent and Nifty Midsmall Healthcare by 0.72 percent.
