New Delhi. The CBI has started investigating the case of rape and murder of a trainee doctor in Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College from today. Meanwhile, former Deputy Superintendent of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital Akhtar Ali has made many sensational allegations against former Principal Professor Dr. Sandeep Ghosh, calling him a very corrupt person. Former Deputy Superintendent Akhtar Ali says that whatever work was done in RG Kar Medical College, be it posting, transfer, hostel allotment, Dr. Sandeep Ghosh used to take money in everything.

Former Deputy Superintendent Ali said that Dr. Ghosh used to fail students, take 20 percent commission in the name of tender orders. Not only this, he used to make junior students drink alcohol in the guest house and if needed, he used to get these students to protest etc. He can be called a mafia, I have not seen such a dirty person in my career. Dr. Ghosh used to move with 20 people’s security and bouncers. Akhtar Ali said that Dr. Ghosh is a very powerful person, I had complained against him to the Vigilance Commission Anti Corruption Bureau in July 2023, after which he was also transferred but he again came back to the post of Principal.
Akhtar Ali said that his resignation from the post of Principal of RG Kar Medical College was also just a sham because within 8 hours of his resignation, he was appointed as the Principal of National Medical College. Let us tell you that yesterday, during the hearing of this case, the Calcutta High Court reprimanded the Mamta Banerjee government and asked why it wants to save the Principal of RG Kar Medical College, has the statement of the Principal been taken in this case, how will you assure that the investigation will be transparent? After this, the High Court ordered to send Dr. Sandeep Ghosh on long leave.
