A case of sexual abuse of mentally weak children has come to light from Uttarakhand’s capital Dehradun. Two cousins were sexually abused at a boarding school in Patel Nagar area of Dehradun city. A woman from Moradabad admitted her two sons to a boarding school in Patel Nagar area of Dehradun in April. School teacher Monupal is accused of sexual abuse. The accused teacher Monupal is a resident of Indrapur Heidi village of Sadiabad police station area of Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh. The police have arrested the accused teacher Monupal. A case has been registered against the accused teacher under the Poxo Act. The mother of the children told the Patel Nagar Kotwali police that she had two sons aged 13 and 9. Both are mentally weak. In April, he admitted the children to a boarding school in Patel Nagar area of Dehradun.
The woman said that she was told that daily photos and videos of children’s behavior and studies would be sent to her, but the school management sent only two-four videos and photos of the children. The school management then stopped contacting. When she reached school to meet the children in mid -May, she was not allowed to meet. The woman said that she again reached school on Friday and insisted on meeting the children. The school management then allowed him to meet the children.
The woman alleges that when she spoke to the children in private, the children started crying. The children told the mother that teacher Monu Pal beat her with an iron rod, punched her stomach, fired with cigarettes and sexually abused her. When the woman listened to the children, she was stunned. He then asked the school management, but did not get any satisfactory answer. The woman then complained to the Patel Nagar police.
Initial police investigation has revealed that the boarding school where the incident took place was opened four months ago. The police is investigating the entire case. Police is also investigating whether permission to run the school has been taken from the Education Department and Social Welfare Department or not. The principal of the school is a woman. All the documents related to the school have been sought from him.
At the same time, a symbolic language interpreter has been appointed to talk to the aggrieved children to get complete information about the incident. The victim children have been handed over to the Child Welfare Committee, where experts will counseling them and will talk to them and inform them about the incident.
