New Delhi, The second match of the 3-match T20 series between India and Afghanistan was played at Holkar Stadium in Indore. Afghanistan’s dreaded all-rounder Shivam Dubey of Team India had batted brilliantly in this match. He has now come to the team in place of Hardik Pandya. But when Hardik becomes fit, who will the team management play? The answer to this was given by former cricketer Sunil Gavaskar.
Speaking on Cricbuzz, Gavaskar said, “Yes, Chennai Super Kings player Shivam Dubey has troubled the selectors in this World Cup year. What if Hardik is unfit? It is certain that Hardik is far ahead in the race for the World Cup. If you look at everyone’s performance this way, you will have to hesitate in dropping any player. It is going to be a very difficult decision whether the selectors will pick him or drop him.”

Gavaskar further said, “After these two games, Shivam Dubey must be feeling very good about himself. He has performed very well and is also getting a lot of support from the team. Now he will be very positive about his game. Now he will not copy anyone.”
