Customers buying Honda’s car have suffered a major setback, as the company has increased the prices of some of its car models. Honda Cars India The company has increased the prices of Honda City, Honda Amaze and Honda WR-V. This is the second increase after April this year. Honda’s latest hike has been made between Rs 11,900 and Rs 20,000 across all three models and their variants currently.
According to a report by HT Auto, the petrol variant of the Honda WR-V SUV has received an increase of Rs 11,900 while the diesel variant has received an increase of Rs 12,500. Thereafter, the current price of Honda WR-V has gone up from Rs 8.88 lakh to Rs 9 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 12.24 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top variant.
Similarly, the Honda City sedan after the price hike for the fourth generation model has gone up to Rs 9.50 lakh for the manual variant instead of Rs 9.30 lakh (ex-showroom). The prices of the Honda City sedan have also been hiked by Rs 17,500 for both the variants (petrol and diesel). Now the starting price of Honda City sedan is Rs 11.46 lakh and its top variant will come with a maximum price of Rs 15.47 lakh.
The Honda Amaze facelift sedan, which was launched last year, has also received a price hike of Rs 12,500 for its petrol and diesel variants. After this hike, the latest price of Honda Amaze has now been Rs 6.56 lakh instead of Rs 6.43 lakh. The car will now cost Rs 11.43 lakh instead of Rs 11.30 lakh. Similarly, the prices of Honda Jazz have also been increased by Rs 12,500.
It is worth noting that taking third party insurance has been made expensive by the government. It has been implemented from 1st June 2022. That is, if you insure from a third party, then now you will have to pay more charges.
Let us tell you that along with Honda, the prices of many companies had increased in April this year. The reason for the increase in these prices was attributed to shortage of chips and increase in the price of raw materials. However, Honda has not given the reason for the increase in these cars.
