Mumbai. Before the Lok Sabha elections, Uddhav Thackeray’s group has suffered another major setback. Former Maharashtra minister and deputy leader of Shiv Sena (UBT) Babanrao Gholap on Saturday joined Shiv Sena led by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. Shinde said that two more MLAs from Rajasthan will join the party in the next two days. However, he did not explain it in much detail. Last month, Ritu Banawat, an independent MLA from Rajasthan, had joined Shiv Sena.
Shinde welcomed Gholap into the party in the presence of state minister Dada Bhuse and Maharashtra Legislative Council Deputy Speaker Neelam Gore. Gholap, who is representing Nashik district in the Assembly for the fifth time, joining the Shinde camp may improve the party’s prospects in North Maharashtra. Former MLA Sanjay Pawar also joined Shinde-led Shiv Sena.

These powerful leaders associated with Shinde group
Apart from the Uddhav faction, big Congress leaders have also joined Shinde faction Shiv Sena. These include big names like Milind Deora and Govinda, who have left Congress and joined Shiv Sena.
This powerful leader will also return to BJP
On the other hand, in Maharashtra, senior BJP leader and former minister Eknath Khadse has also announced his return to the party. Eknath Khadse, who moved from BJP to Sharad Pawar-led NCP, said, “I am returning to BJP. I contacted the central leadership of the party and expressed my desire to return to BJP. I will formally join BJP in Delhi next week.
Let us tell you that in 2022, many Shiv Sena MLAs including Eknath Shinde, expressing deep dissatisfaction with the coalition government of Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress in Maharashtra, formed a new faction in the party, which was led by Eknath Shinde. After this, Shinde faction Shiv Sena and BJP together formed the government in Maharashtra.
