According to the information, a fight broke out between Kirauli resident Dhirendra Kandpal (43) and his wife Munni Devi on Saturday night. In anger, the wife hit her husband on the head with a stone. Dhirendra died on the spot. On receiving information about the incident, the police took the body into custody and sent it to the district headquarters for post-mortem.
On Sunday, the deceased’s brother Basant Kandpal, while giving information about the incident at Kapkot police station, filed a complaint accusing his sister-in-law Munni Devi of murdering his brother. Police Station Head Kailash Singh Bisht said that a case has been registered in the matter under Section 304 IPC. The case is being investigated. Whatever facts emerge in the investigation, action will be taken accordingly. Here, after post-mortem at the district headquarters, the body has been handed over to the relatives.
