Bemetara: Union Home Minister Amit Shah has accused Congress of following the agenda of Muslim League. He said that Congress is saying that it will make a separate law for minorities. Addressing an election rally at Chhattisgarh’s Bemetara district headquarters, he said those who rejected the invitation to the consecration ceremony of Ram temple in Ayodhya because of vote bank politics do not have the right to rule the country. Bemetara falls in the Durg Lok Sabha constituency where voting will be held on May 7.
‘Congress party is moving ahead with the agenda of Muslim League’
Shah said, ‘Congress has said that they will make a separate law for minorities. Tell me, should the country be run on the basis of ‘Sharia’? Should triple talaq be implemented again? Congress party is moving ahead with the agenda of Muslim League. Rahul Baba, neither will the public elect you nor will triple talaq be implemented again. Congress Party, out of greed for its vote bank, kept Article 370 intact in Kashmir for many years. You all made Modi ji the Prime Minister for the second time, Modi ji abolished Article 370 on August 5, 2019 and Kashmir became a part of India forever.
‘Modi ji ended terrorism, secured the country’
Taking aim at the Congress, Shah said, ‘Ram Mandir Trust had invited Rahul Baba to the consecration ceremony, but he did not attend it because he is afraid of his vote-bank. Those who rejected the invitation to Pran Pratistha because of vote bank politics do not have the right to rule the country. Highlighting the achievements of the Modi government in the last 10 years, Shah said that Modi ji ended terrorism and secured the country. He said, ‘There was UPA government in the country, there was Sonia-Manmohan government. Every day terrorists used to enter from Pakistan and carry out bomb blasts.
Amit Shah mentioned Bhuneshwar Sahu in his speech
Shah sought votes in favor of party candidate Vijay Baghel from Durg seat and said that in the last assembly elections, the people of the state had defeated the appeasement politics of Congress. Shah said, ‘When I have come here, I pay tribute to one of our own youth, Bhuneshwar Sahu, whose vote bank politics of Congress had taken his life.’ On April 8 last year, 22-year-old Bhuneshwar Sahu was killed in violence that broke out following a dispute between school children of two communities in Biranpur village of Bemetara district. Sahu’s father Ishwar Sahu was elected BJP MLA from Saja assembly seat in the last assembly elections.
‘Appeasement politics will not work in Chhattisgarh’,
Shah said, ‘The people of Chhattisgarh had taken the murder of Bhuvaneshwar very seriously not only in Durg but in the entire Chhattisgarh. We made Ishwar Sahu a candidate, no one believed that he would defeat a strong leader like Ravindra Choubey. The people of Chhattisgarh have given their vote that appeasement politics will not work in Chhattisgarh. Voting was held in the Naxal-hit Bastar (ST) constituency during the first phase of Lok Sabha elections on April 19 and today the second phase of voting was concluded in 3 seats Kanker, Mahasamund and Rajnandgaon. Now voting will be held on 7 seats including Durg on 7th May.
