Gill won the ICC Player of the Month Award for the fourth time
This is the fourth ICC Player of the Month Award by Shubman Gill. Earlier, he won the award in February 2025, January 2023, September 2023. He has become the only player in the world to have won the Player of the Month Award four times. Shubman Gill performed on England tour, which is rarely seen. He scored a total of 754 runs in five matches of the entire Test series, including four centuries.
First Indian Test captain to score a double century in England
Shubman Gill scored a century in the first match of the Test series against England, but then India lost by five wickets. Subsequently, he scored 269 in the first innings of the second Test and 161 runs in the second innings. Due to him, the Indian team managed to win the second match by 336 runs. Gill became the first Indian Test captain to score a double century in England.
