In the desire to join the Navy in Ghazipur district of Uttar Pradesh, a young man himself prepared his character certificate – that too with fake seals and fake signatures of officials. The accused youth has been identified as Aditya Singh, resident of Sitapatti village, Karanda police station area.
Aditya was selected in the Indian Navy, but to hide the previous criminal record, he made a fake character certificate and handed it over to the navy officers. The matter came to light when an email was sent to the Ghazipur police on 17 April for character verification by the Navy.
Investigation opened for fraud
As soon as the police received this email, investigation of documents was started. The investigation found that the certificate presented was neither issued from an authorized government office, nor the seal and signature on it were real. Also, a criminal case has already been registered against Aditya – which he hid information.
Case filed in serious sections
An FIR has been registered against Aditya on the basis of the complaint of character verification clerk Jag Narayan. He has been imposed serious streams like forgery, fraud and government documents. At present, the police is actively trying to arrest him.
Case related to national security
The use of fake documents for recruitment in sensitive and important institutes like Indian Navy is considered a serious crime. This case not only raises questions on the transparency of the recruitment process, but is also worrying in terms of national security.
