With the situation in the neighbouring country Bangladesh deteriorating, India’s security and intelligence agencies have come on high alert. It is feared that with Sheikh Hasina’s resignation and the army taking over the reins of power, Pakistan-backed forces have become active in the country. In such a situation, Ansar ul Bangla, Umat ul Bangladesh, Jamaat e Islami will prove to be a big headache for Bangladesh.
For a long time, these organizations were engaged in spoiling the atmosphere in Bangladesh and were involved in anti-national activities. These organizations were also constantly carrying out many illegal activities in protest against the current government. Sheikh Hasina’s government has been constantly trying to crack down on them. But, in the changed circumstances, the possibility of their becoming active has increased significantly. These organizations indirectly receive the support of Pakistani intelligence agency ISI.
