As the fear of war between Iran and Israel increases, the situation in the countries of the Middle East is beginning to look more critical. In such a situation, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs has issued a special travel advisory for its citizens. In view of the current situation in the Middle East region, the Ministry of External Affairs said that all Indians are advised not to travel to Iran or Israel until further notice. Along with this, the Ministry of External Affairs also said that all those who are currently living in Iran or Israel are requested to contact the Indian embassies there and get themselves registered. They are also requested to take utmost care regarding their safety and limit their activities to the minimum.
Before India, Russia and Germany had also issued such advisory a day before. Amidst the increasing threats of war between Israel and Iran, Russia and Germany on April 11 had appealed to the countries of the Middle East to exercise restraint and alerted their citizens. The Iranian threat of attacking Israel has put countries throughout the Middle East in danger. Israel, meanwhile, said it was preparing to “meet all its security needs” in the region threatened by the Iranian threat. Meanwhile, Germany’s Lufthansa Airlines extended the suspension of its flights to Tehran in view of the threat of conflict. Russia has also issued a warning against traveling to the Middle East.
