Chennai. Sulur Air Base is the home base of the indigenous fighter aircraft Tejas. In that base, it was roaring like a lion in front of the powerful foreign aircraft and its echo was heard in the entire sky. The occasion was the Tarang Shakti 2024 Multi National Air Exercise, which was organized by the Indian Air Force. As soon as Tejas started flying, everyone’s breath stopped, the kind of drill that was seen in the sky of Sulur in Tamil Nadu was surprising for everyone. The way the pilots of Tejas showed their training at their home base was commendable.
When Tejas, which flies at a speed of 2220 km/h, flew at a speed of 37 km/h, everyone was surprised. The Indian Air Force is increasing its strength through indigenous weapons. Along with this, it is also introducing the air forces of other powerful countries to its indigenous strength. In the same sequence, 51 countries of the world were invited to the first largest multi-national air military exercise organized by the Indian Air Force.
Tarang Shakti 2024 is being organized in two phases, the first phase of which ended on Tuesday in Sulur. A total of 5 countries including India participated in this phase, in which France’s Rafale and Germany, Spain, UK participated with Typhoon Fighter. At the same time, all the platforms of the Indian Air Force were equipped with Rafale, Sukhoi, Mirage, Jaguar, Tejas, Mig 29, Prachand, but the one that was in everyone’s eyes was Tejas. The special thing was that the Air Force Chiefs of Germany, Spain, UK and France also came to participate in this exercise.
This is the first time that Germany has done an air military exercise with India. The Air Force chiefs of France and Germany even flew in Tejas. Everyone gave their positive opinion on the capability of Tejas. Since the world’s most powerful multi-role fighter aircraft Eurofighter Typhoon and Rafale were also involved in this first phase of the exercise which is bigger in size than Tejas. In response to a question in the conference, the Air Force Chief said that Tejas has proved its capability and shown that size doesn’t matter.
Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal VR Choudhary said that he is proud of the performance of Tejas and I hope our counter parts (Air Force Chiefs of Germany, Spain and France) also think the same about Tejas’ performance and would like to take 1 or 2 aircraft with them… Tejas has proved through its flying display why Tejas is the best in this segment… However, currently Tejas was facing Eurofighter Typhoon and Rafale, but in the next phase it will face American F-16 and F-18.
