Indian security and intelligence agencies have become fully alert after the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam region of Jammu and Kashmir. Fast in the investigation of this attack, agencies have made public sketches of three suspected terrorists. These terrorists have been identified as Asif Fauji, Suleman Shah and Abu Talha.

According to intelligence sources, the mastermind of this attack is Saifullah Khalid, the deputy chief of Lashkar-e-Taiba, who has been involved in many terrorist activities before. Lashkar-e-Taiba’s proxy organization ‘The Registration Front’ (TRF) has taken responsibility for this attack. TRF is a pseudo -organization of Lashkar, which is operated by different names to avoid international pressures.

Police and security agencies have intensified search operations in many areas of Jammu and Kashmir. High alert has been declared in Pahalgam and its surrounding areas. Drone, dog squad and Special Operations Group (SOG) have been deployed in search of suspects. Also, an appeal has been made to the common citizens that if someone is aware of the presence of these suspects, then immediately inform the nearest police station.

It is being told that the attack was planned and its purpose was to spread instability in the valley. According to intelligence reports, Saifullah Khalid planned the attack from Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) and was carried out through TRF. To carry out this attack, these terrorists resorted to sleeper sales already existing in the valley.

The Union Home Ministry is taking this attack very seriously and the investigating agencies have been given clear instructions to arrest the culprits as soon as possible. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has also become active in this case and is working to break the network of terrorists.

The government has once again reiterated that India’s policy against terrorism is absolutely clear – “Zero tolerance”. Security forces have been given open exemption to take tough steps against the terrorists.

This attack is being condemned across the country and tributes are being paid to the martyrs. Now the whole country is waiting for when these guilty will be punished for their actions.
