Skoda Slavia Launched: Czech automaker Skoda has launched the Slavia in India today, equipped with very attractive styling, the starting price of this car has been fixed at Rs 10.69 lakh, which is of its base model 1 liter TSI version. Along with this, the price of the top-spec model of the Slavia has been fixed at Rs 15.39 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
The cost of only one engine came to the fore
Let us tell you, today only the prices of the 1.0 liter petrol model of the Slavia have been revealed, while the prices of its 1.5 TSI model will be announced on March 3. Skoda has also announced that the test drives and deliveries for the Slavia 1.0 TSI have started from today, and you can contact the dealership to book the car.
Updates on Engine and Mileage
Skoda Slavia is offered with two turbo-petrol engines, as we mentioned that currently the prices for only the lower capacity engine of this car have been announced, Slavia’s 1-litre three-cylinder TSI petrol engine 115hp power 175Nm torque, which is mated to a 6-speed manual or 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

The carmaker has revealed that the 1.0 TSI one-litre petrol engine will give a mileage of 19.47Kmpl, though has not revealed whether this figure applies to the manual or AMT variants. Apart from this, the second powerful 1.5-litre four-cylinder TSI engine to join the range in the coming days will be equipped with 150hp power. Which will come with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT automatic transmission.

Skoda’s design like the rest of the sedan
Notably, Skoda had already revealed the interior and exterior styling of the sedan during its global debut late last year. The Slavia’s design is closely related to the other Skoda sedans (Octavia and Superb), which have used a lot of chrome to please the Indian buyers.
In terms of dimensions, the Slavia uses Volkswagen Group’s localized MQB-A0-IN platform (similar to the Kushak), and is much larger than the Rapid. Overall, it can be said that the Slavia is one of the largest models in the segment, as it has a ground clearance of 179mm. On the other hand, the Slavia gets an upmarket look with a layered dashboard, free-standing 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster and dual tone beige and black interior themes.
Features available in the top variant
The Skoda top variant comes equipped with Connected Car Tech, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, automatic climate control, ventilated front seats, leatherette upholstery, a sunroof, a wireless charger, rear AC vents and a rear center armrest. It also gets a host of other safety features like six airbags, ESC, an electronic differential system (EDS) and a tire pressure monitor.
