Czech carmaker Skoda (Skoda) launched its new mid-size premium sedan car Skoda Slavia (Skoda Slavia) earlier this week. Whose starting ex-showroom price is Rs 10.69 lakh. But if you want a more powerful 1.5-litre TSI engine instead of the more economical 1.0-litre engine, the company has launched it on Thursday.
Transmission options and prices
The company has fixed the starting ex-showroom price of the Skoda Slavia 1.5-litre TSI engine variant at Rs 16.19 lakh. The Slavia 1.5 TSI is offered with two transmission options. Whereas between the two, the manual unit is obviously more economical. However, the much appreciated DSG unit has been priced at Rs 17.79 lakh ex-showroom.
what is special
The Slavia 1.5 TSI is definitely priced higher in its segment as compared to its direct rivals like Honda City, Hyundai Verna and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz. But it is also kept higher because of the credibility that Slavia claims. Compared to all these cars, it is the fastest sedan to reach a top speed of 100 kmph. It gets comparatively more power and torque. Talking about space, comfort and features, it is the same in both the engine options of the Slavia. And it is mostly better than what its rivals offer.
engine and power
The more powerful Skoda Slavia 1.5-litre TSI engine generates 150 hp of power and 250 Nm of torque. This makes it the most powerful petrol mid-size sedan in the country at the moment. Skoda claims that this car can accelerate to 100 kmph in less than 10 seconds. Along with this, this car gives a mileage of slightly more than 18 kmpl.
Variants
The Slavia is offered in three variants – Active, Ambition and Style. But if you opt for the 1.5-litre engine, the Slavia is available only in the top style variant.
