Women ICC T20 Rankings Smriti Mandhana: In the final of the Women’s T20 Asia Cup, the Indian team had to face defeat against Sri Lanka by 8 wickets. Except the final match, the Indian players performed well in the entire tournament. Now the Indian women players have got the reward for their good performance in the ICC rankings. Smriti Mandhana and Renuka have moved up in the ICC T20 rankings.
Had scored a half-century in the final of Asia Cup 2024
In the final of the Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2024, except Smriti Mandhana, all the other batsmen flopped. Mandhana played a brilliant innings of 60 runs. It was because of her that the team was able to reach a respectable score. When regular captain Harmanpreet Kaur was given rest in the match against Nepal, she also took over the responsibility of captaincy. Now Mandhana has gained one place in the Women’s ICC T20 rankings. She has reached number four. She has 743 rating points.
The only Indian female player in top-10
Smriti Mandhana is the only Indian female player in the top-10 of the ICC T20 rankings for batsmen. Apart from her, Shefali Verma is at number 11. Shefali has 631 rating points. She has performed well for some time now. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur is at number 16. She has 607 rating points and has lost five places.
Renuka Singh benefited in the ranking
India’s Renuka Singh has gained a lot in the Women’s ICC T20 rankings. She has reached the fifth position with a gain of four places. She currently has 722 rating points. She had performed well in the Women’s Asia Cup and took 7 wickets in the tournament. England’s Sophie Eskelton is at the top while Deepti Sharma is at the third position. Deepti has 755 rating points.
